As an avid skier, Scott began to realize the need for further support of the Avalanche Rescue Dog programs, thus started to raise funds for the programs via his photograph. He started visiting various ski patrol huts throughout the west to photograph the dogs and other search and rescue teams to raise awareness of their life-saving work.

Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Cowgirl has been an avalanche dog for Vail Mountain Resort in Colorado since 2019. She is a skilled working dog who can detect buried people in the snow with incredible accuracy. She is a vital member of the avalanche rescue team, and she has helped to save countless lives.

In addition to their work as avalanche dogs, June and Zoot are also beloved members of the Aspen community. They are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, and they love to meet new people. They are also big fans of playing fetch and going for walks in the snow.
